Dj Made Me Fall in Love Again

Lovestruck: The Musical (TV Movie 2013) Poster

Lacks something

Lovestruck isn't astonishing. It's alright and only has one perfect scene it. With it's story I idea I would fall in love with it, but I didn't. It was lazy at times and didn't include character building moments. The groom was useless to the plot. He wouldn't even tell the girl he loves why he loves her, which is kind of felt weird. As well he's just going to stop being a playboy for 1 girl? The other leads were meh other than Chelsea Kane and Drew Seeley's ten minute scene. I personally call up it was a error to not prove more of him. Just for the short time he was in the moving-picture show, he made it worth my time. Specially the scene Dj Got Us Fallin In Love Again. The whole dance and song fabricated me fall in love with that ones scene. Lovestruck is an alright picture show that is watchable but don't wait anything great.

A magical musical fairytale.

In true Disney style this movie could not be farther from reality merely that does not mean that it's not entertaining. It'due south fun, cutesy and very fairytale like. Information technology's filmed in beautiful locations and the sets are extravagant and luxe. Perfect if your looking for a squeamish escape. Probably the biggest shortcoming is that there isn't much substance to the picture. While this isn't a major problem information technology makes the story feel less genuine.

Discussion to the wise - if you don't like musicals and so don't watch this moving-picture show. Most scenes are filled with sugary sugariness fun vocal and trip the light fantastic toe numbers. Sadly the singing was not very strong but the song choices were expert. I was also impressed with Chelsea Kane's acting skills, she seems perfectly suited to this blazon of role and is vivacious and captivating. Overall I really enjoyed this movie and it left me feeling elated and content.

at times overly cutesy and silly but yet an engaging hour and a half

Warning: Spoilers

Lovestruck: The Musical is the latest in the contempo cord of made-for- cablevision musicals and the first of it's kind for ABC Family. Itemploys the "Glee" idea here and covers popular songs as well as original ones, and features such songs as "But Dance" by Lady Gaga, "I Wanna Trip the light fantastic toe With Somebody" by Whitney Houston "Like A Virgin" past Madonna, "Everlasting Love" by Robert Knight, and "DJ Got Usa Falling In Love" by Usher. The storyline is rather lightheaded. A selfish Broadway choreographer and producer travels to Italy to sabotage her daughter's hymeneals, and ends up drinking a potion that turns her immature. Through a series of events, her ex-married man likewise turns young by drinking the potion and they accept to correct the wrongs that she did while trying to demolition everything. The cast is what pulls this ane off.

Jane Seymour plays the older Harper and Chelsea Kane plays the younger. Kane gets most of the screen fourth dimension and is engaging and fun to lookout man. Her singing is mediocre, merely her dancing is competent. Seymour may not take been the best casting pick (had I been doing the casting I'd take gone with Bebe Neuwirth). Her singing is dubbed and her dancing is the weakest in the film. Sara Paxton plays the daughter getting married and has an awful solo vocal that is heavy with machine-tuned production. Paxton, who has ever been a favorite of mine, is a competent singer and does not need the car-melody. Adrienne Bailon is besides here as Paxton's horny best friend and maid of accolade. Bailon adds her expert vocals to a few songs and also serves a purpose to the plot, unlike Mary J. Blige in "Stone of Ages" who served no purpose in that motion-picture show. Drew Seeley and Tom Wopat play the ex hubby in his younger and older forms. Wopat lays on the comedy thick, and Seeley has never been more mannerly. He gets to bear witness off his great dancing and singing in the highlight number of the movie "DJ Got Us Falling In Love", a duet with Kane. It's also squeamish to see Wopat's singing skills not wasted. The bandage is rounded out by Alexander DiPersia, who is unmemorable, if flat as Paxton'southward reformed philanderer married man-to-exist.

As a whole, Lovestruck is silly, and at times overly cutesy, just has several moments of agreeable one-act and fun music. It seemed to go lost in it's musical numbers at times. "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" seems to go on forever, as did "Like A Virgin". It also seemed to be emulating "Mamma Mia" too much, with information technology'due south strange locale and girl getting married plot. Some of the choreography was hokey in the ending sequence (i.east. the cast bending into each other making a centre with their arms from the helpmate and groom to walk under). Despite a lot of information technology's flaws, I still found it to be an engaging hour and a half.

Rather Okay Picture show

Warning: Spoilers

I rather enjoyed this movie. Sure, the plot's predictable, but the songs that they choose fit the scenes so well that it kinda makes up for it. With that being said, I remember they sort of overdid the songs they had in the movie; sure, the performances were great, but they literally had a vocal in near EVERY SCENE, which kind of bogged down the movie. But the part with the dad turning young was fun, specially the dance her and the mom do to Conductor's DJ Got Us Fallin' in Dear; it'due south probably the best part of the picture show. All in all, it was a decent and kinda cute film, merely would probably have been improve off every bit a Broadway musical. Just saying.

Proficient movie, but some problems

Okay, I kind of loved this movie. The song sequences were bully, and I loved all the dancing, mostly considering I can't dance to salvage my life and it fascinates me to sentinel other people do it. I like how it gets right up into the meat of the plot really quickly - However, I didn't like how long it took for her husband to come on the scene and how short a fourth dimension Drew Seeley was in that location. He was the main reason I watched information technology and I was really disappointed past that. I call back it would have been interesting had they explored the concept of her condign young forever more than thoroughly; to me it seemed like a thrown-in signal that resolved itself too quickly, and left it up for a sequel. (Maybe they discover some other bottle?) And maybe it could be about where the bottle came from in the showtime place, too.

cutesy, well-directed musical

I liked this musical. Peradventure it'due south because I'm old, but I idea Jane Seymour was very bonny & fun to watch. She was the main reason I tuned this in. Everybody in the cast did a skillful job, only I exercise hold with the other reviewers that the pb male, the benedict, was a major disappointment- he just had no real appeal or depth.

The musical numbers rocked, especially Usher'due south Dj. The story did exit a lot of unexplored territory, which I attributed to Disney family format. The main plot seemed to be a girl getting married, her independence & resolving family issues. Lovestruck is a breezy, light-hearted romp with a good soundtrack. Feel-good movie, never bogs down.

Delightful surprise

When I desire a motion-picture show that simply entertains, I am often disappointed with a picture with foul language or a dark picture when I was promised a comedy. This movie was an admittedly delightful surprise in that information technology entertained from offset to end. The effects and scenes were non silly but sugariness and the music and dancing were icing on the block. Good acting all around and solid light-hearted amusement.
